Ourimbah is situated on the east coast of Australia, mid-way between
the two biggest cities in the state of New South Wales, Sydney and
Newcastle (about 160 kilometres apart) and also approximately
half-way between the two major local centres of Gosford and
Wyong (about 16 kilometres apart). [Drawn by Bruce Jones]

The map below indicates the locations of the early land grants. The land
designated as making up the deficiency in Macquoid's original grant is the
narrow strip to the west of the large area marked with his name.
Bangalow Creek has been incorrectly labelled 'Bangalore'. [Drawn by Bruce
Jones]

The map below shows the layout of the formed roads in and about
Ourimbah in c.1920. Positions of roads and buildings are derived from
photographs, including a 1954 aerial photograph and deposited plan
DP 2265. James Stockdale's house, later the Bushman's Home hotel and
later still the Blue Gum Flat Public School was situated in the path of the
railway line, close to the junction of Brush Road and Brownlee St. [Drawn by
Bruce Jones]
